Matt and Kim start off tour in Syracuse
Matt & Kim are one of those bands that come off as human as possible. They stayed after the show to say hello to their audience, and take pictures, and talk about the show. Kim even got a bra from an adoring fan girl. Matt told fans that he and his better half Kim are not the kind of people who pose in the mirror, practicing their stage faces. What you see is what you get. And what attendees of the Wescott Theater saw last night were two fun-loving rockers.
The duo played largely songs from their self-titled debut and their second release, which includes familiar hits like “Daylight” and “Good Ol’ Fashion Nightmare,” Grand. Fans also went crazy over “Lessons Learned,” the video for which caught the attention of many people. That video landed the band with an award for Breakthrough Music Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Their stage performance was just as entertaining and energizing as their video performance. Check below for more photos.
Before the show, there was a special listening party for their upcoming release, Sidewalks. Check out the first single off the album, “Cameras,” by clicking here. Keep a look out for the album on November 2nd!
